Salzburg, 1. oktobar 2018 – Ministarka za evropske integracije, Dhurata Hoxha se sastala sa državnom sekretarkom Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova Austrije, Karoline Edtstadler, sa kojom je razgovarala o očekivanjima građana Republike Kosovo o slobodnom kretanju. Ministarka Hoxha je naglasila da se ilegalna migracija kao pojava stalno smanjuje, poslednjih godina se značajno smanjila, sve to zahvaljujući zakonskim promenama koje je Kosovo preduzelo i drugim reformama koje su ojačale graničnu bezbednost. Ministarka Hoxha je istakla da Kosovo ima pozitivno zakonodavstvo i volju da sprovede međunarodne sporazume i utiče na smanjenje ilegalne emigracije i kažnjavanje organizovanog kriminala. Ministarka je takođe istakla da Kosovo ima mehanizme za olakšanje repatrijacije, kao što su organizovanje prevoza, opremanje dokumentima, stanovanje, obrazovanje i pitanja zapošljavanja. Ministarka Hoxha je govorila i o koristima koje liberalizacija donosi građanima Kosova jer će, slobodnim kretanjem, naši mladi ljudi dobiti najbolja iskustva iz zemalja Šengena, a Kosovo ne predstavlja rizik za migraciju u bilo kom obliku. Gđa Edtstadler je naglasila da osnaživanje vladavine prava, sveobuhvatne reforme i institucionalna ozbiljnost za realizaciju evropskih agendi, predstavljaju domaći zadatak kosovskih institucija, izražavajući optimizam da će Kosovo uspešno proći izazov integracionog procesa, naročito za brzu liberalizaciju viza.
