Dana 4.-5. juna, pod pokroviteljstvom Ministarstva za evropske integracije i Evropske komisije, u Prištini se održava sastanak regionalnog instrumenta za pretpristupnu pomoć (IPA).
Ministar Çollaku je u njegovom uvodnom govoru izjavio: “Svi smo svedoci jedinstvenih regionalnih razvoja u Zapadnom Balkanu. Kao nikada do sada postoji jasna i snažna volja za regionalnu saradnju u političkom i tehničkom nivou.
U aprilu, svi ministri zemalja Zapadnog Balkana okupili su se u Prištini da razgovaraju o produbljivanju regionalne saradnje i konkretnim projektima za integraciju regiona. Danas, imamo zadovoljstvo da budemo domaćini regionalnog sastanka IPA i pružimo svoj doprinos u promovisanju dobrosusedskih odnosa na zapadnom Balkanu”.
U svom uvodnom govoru, šef Jedinice Evropske komisije za regionalnu saradnju i programe, g. Morten Jung izjavio: “Pozdravljamo obnovljenu odlučnost za produbljivanje regionalne saradnje zasnovane na jasnom lokalnom vlasništvu i fokusiranje na postizanju konkretnih rezultata za građane i poslovanje kao što je poboljšanje povezivanja u regionu, kao i sa EU.“
To je prvi put da je Kosovo domaćin sastanka u okviru regionalnog instrumenta IPA. Na sastanku učestvuju sve zemlje regiona i predstavnici iz Evropske komisije.
Cilj sastanka je da se diskutuje programiranje regionalnih projekata predloženih u okviru IPA 2016 multi-zemaljskog programa.
Ukupan indikativan iznos od 390 miliona evra je izdvojeno u 2016. za podršku regionalnih delatnosti i investicija, horizontalnih programa i teritorijalne saradnje.
