Priština, 17. decembar 2013 – Ministarka za Evropske Integracije, Vlora Çitaku je učestvovala na okruglom stolu o ulozi i promovisanju upotrebe službenih jezika na Kosovu, gde ovom prilikom je dodeljena nagrada za najbolji novinarski rad, za najbolju priču u vezi poštovanja jezika.
Ovaj događaj se poklapa sa zatvaranjem šestomesečnog projekta „Kampanja podizanja svesti javnosti u podršci efikasne sprovođenje Zakona o upotrebi jezika, koji promoviše ljudska prava i doprinosi uključivanju ne-većinskih zajednica“, projekat podržan od strane programa Ujedinjenih nacija za razvoj na Kosovu UNDP.
Cilj ove kampanje je bio podizanje svesti javnosti, sa posebnim naglaskom na ne-većinske zajednice na Kosovu, medije, lokalne i centralne institucije, u vezi nejednake upotrebe jezika na radnom mestu, prevodi nacrt-zakona, i onih usvojenih u cilju uključivanja ne-većinskih zajednica i promovisanje ljudskih prava.
Tokom ovog okruglog stola, predavači su predstavili dosadašnje rezultate Kancelarije Komesara za Jezike, planove za 2014 godinu, kao i detalje o ulozi ove ustanove u poboljšanju položaja svih zajednica i ubrzati proces evropskih integracija.
