Priština, 16. avgust 2018.- Ministarka za evropske integracije, gđa. Dhurata Hoxha je imala danas telefonski razgovor sa izvestiocem Evropskog parlamenta za Kosovo, g. Igor Sholtes, sa kojim je razgovarala o narednim koracima za proces liberalizacije viza, s obzirom na to da ceo proces je sada u rukama institucija EU nakon ispunjavanja kriterijuma od strane Kosova.
Ministarka Hoxha je obavestila gospodina Sholtes da Kosovo nastavlja reforme i sprovođenje SSP-a i zatražila je da se ubrzava proces donošenja odluke o liberalizaciji viza.
Ministarka Hoxha je naglasila da građanima Kosova je jasno da su blizu liberalizacije viza i jedva čekaju slobodno kretanje. Ministarka Hoxha je takođe obavestila izvestioca za Kosovu o kampanji podizanja svesti o liberalizaciji viza koju je pokrenulo Ministarstvo za evropske integracije, sa posebnim naglaskom na informisanju građana o tome šta znači liberalizacija viza kao i o sankcijama koje mogu slediti u slučaju zloupotrebe.
Dalje, ministarka Hoxha je ponudila punu podršku i saradnju institucija u zemlji kako bi proces donošenja odluke bude što brži a očekivanja građana o slobodnom kretanju da budu ispunjena do kraja godine.
S druge strane, izvestilac Evropskog parlamenta za Kosovo, g. Šoltes se zahvalio ministarki Hoxha na njenom angažovanju tokom čitavog procesa i obezbedio je da ima potpunu podršku za ubrzanje odlučivanja o liberalizaciji viza za građane Kosova. G- din Sholtes je takođe obavestio ministarku o narednim koracima sastanka Odbora LIBE 29. avgusta, na kome liberalizacija viza za Kosovo će biti na dnevnom redu a optimisti smo da ćemo dobiti zeleno svetlo da bi nastavili dalje.
