Priština, 4. februar 2014. godine – Ministarka za evropske integracije, Vlora Çitaku, je primila predstavnike Fonda za obrazovanje Roma (FOR) sa sedištem u Budimpešti, Mađarska. Tokom ovog sastanka razgovarano je o mogućnostima uspešnijeg napredovanja integrisanja dece iz zajednica Roma, Aškalija i Egipćana u obrazovni sistem Kosova.
Ministarka Çitaku je istakla još jednom posvećenost Vlade Kosova da se stvore najbolji mogući uslovi za sve zajednice na Kosovu. Ona je rekla da radi povećanim intenzitetom kako bi integracija i pristup obrazovanju zajednica Roma, Aškalija i Egipćana bili što efikasniji i doneli rezultate celoj zajednici, kao i celom društvu.
Kao deo ove obaveze organizovani su brojni sastanci i otvorene diskusije sa predstavnicima nevladinih organizacija koje su aktivne u pružanju podrške integraciji zajednica kojima je potrebna dodatna podrška sa ciljem procene trenutne situacije i preduzimanja odgovarajućih koraka na osnovu identifikovanih nalaza.
Ministarka Çitaku je rekla: “Obrazovanje na Kosovu je pravo garantovano zakonom, a obaveza je svakog roditelja da omogući pristup svakom detetu obrazovanju. Takođe, obrazovanje dece se smatra ključem koji bi doneo svetlu budućnost integracijom i socijalnim uključivanjem zajednica Roma, Aškalija i Egipćana u kosovsko društvo”.
Ministarka Çitaku je dodala: “Odgovorne obrazovne institucije su dokazale snažnu posvećenost ostvarenju ustanovljenih ciljeva postavljenih za integraciju ove tri zajednice”.
Predstavnici Fonda za obrazovanje Roma, Szilvia Pallghy i Marius Taba, tražili su podršku iz Ministarstva za integracije, i u tom pogledu, ministarka Çitaku je obećala posvećenost ne samo na Ministarstva koje ona vodi, već i podršku Vlade Republike Kosova. Ministarka Çitaku je takođe je predsedavajuća Međuinstitucionalnog upravnog odbora za integraciju zajednica Roma, Aškalija i Egipćana.
