Priština, 23. april 2020 – Ministar na dužnosti Evrpskih integracija, g. Blerim Reka, u nemogućnosti da održi planirani sastanak u Briselu, danas je razgovarao telefonom sa potpredsednikom Evropskog parlamenta g. Rainner Wieland. Ministar na dužnosti Reka informisao je g, Wieland o stanju zdravstvene emergencije i merama koje Vlada preduzima u borbi protiv pandemije COVID-19, tom prilikom se zahvalio na dosadašnjoj pomoći Kosovu koju je donirala Evropska unija, uključujući najnoviju pomoć koju je odobrila Evropska komisija, t.j. paket od 100 miliona evra makrofinansijske pomoći za Kosovo. Tokom razgovora razgovarano je i o podršci g. Wieland i Evropskih parlamentaraca evropskom putu Kosova, sa posebnim naglaskom na liberalizaciju viza. U tom razgovoru ministar na dužnosti Reka zatražio je od potpredsednika Evropskog parlamenta g. Wieland, da on i ostali evroparlamentarni prijatelji i dalje budu glas Kosova u ovoj značajnoj instituciji EU-a, posebno sada kada je potrebno poslednje ubeđivanje neodlučnih država da se ukine vizni režim za građane Kosova. Na kraju, g. Wieland je ponovo potvrdio svoju podršku i podršku evroparlamentaraca Kosovu, posebno liberalizaciji viza, kao i evropskoj perspektivi naše zemlje, obećavajući stalnu podršku Kosova u procesu evropskih integracija.
