Berlin, 11-12. jun 2014. – Pod pokroviteljstvom nemačkog Ministarstva za finansije i Evropske Komisije, 11. i 12. juna, održan je X sastanak Upravnog odbora investicionog okvira za zapadni Balkan (Western Balkan Investment Framework – WBIF) u Berlinu.
Tokom sastanka, Upravni odbor je razmotrio i odobrio dostavljene projekte u okviru XI runde apliciranja, kao i diskutovao o daljem napretku WBIF-a.
U XI rundi, Kosovo je apliciralo sa dva projekta:
1. Ažuriranje studije izvodljivosti, procena uticaja na životnu sredinu i preliminarno projektovanje za izgradnju auto puta (SEETO put 7) sekcija E, Priština – Merdare (23 km). SEETO put 7 povezuje koridor X sa autoputom Albanije i predstavlja stratešku putnu vezu Kosova sa regionom i Evropskom Unijom. Put 7 je predviđen kao prioritet i u okviru Multi-modalne strategije transporta.
Projekat će se podržati i od strane Evropske banke za obnovu i razvoj (EBOR). Početni grant u iznosu od €500,000 će se obezbediti od strane Zajedničkog Evropskog fonda za zapadni Balkan (EWBJF).
2. Ažuriranje studije izvodljivosti, procena uticaja na životnu sredinu i preliminarno projektovanje za izgradnju auto puta N9 Priština – Peć (SEETO put 6B) sekcija Kijevo – Klina – Peć (30 km). SEETO Put 6B povezuje Prištinu sa Pećii i dalje sa Crnom Gorom. Put 6B je predviđen kao prioritet i u okviru ë Multi-modalne strategije transporta.
Projekat će se podržati od strane Evropske investicione banke (EIB). Početni grant u iznosu od €800,000 će se obezbediti od strane Zajedničkog Evropskog fonda za zapadni Balkan (EWBJF).
Opšte informacije o Investicionom okviru za zapadni Balkan (WBIF) Investicioni okvir za zapadni Balkan nastoji da poboljša saradnju i da poveća finansijske kapacitete za investicije da doprinese društveno-ekonomskom razvoju i unapređenju procesa integrisanja zapadnog Balkana. Institucije koje doprinose finansijskim resursima u sklopu okvira su: Evropska Komisija, Razvojna banka Savete Evrope, Evropska banka za obnovu i razvoj, Evropska investiciona banka, Nemačka razvojna banka, Svetska banka kao i bilateralni donatori.
Okvir se fokusira u ključne sektore ekonomije zapadnog Balkana uključujući: energiju, sredinu, transport, socijalna pitanja kao i razvoj privatnog sektora.
