Tirana, 1. mart 2017 – Danas ministarka za evropske integracije, gđa. Mimoza Ahmetaj je održala odvojene sastanke u Tirani, sa ministrom inostranih poslova, gospodina Ditmira Bushatija i sa svojom političkom koleginicom, ministarkom Albanije za evropske integracije, gđu. Klajda Gjosha.
Tokom sastanka ministri su razgovarali o političkom okruženju unutar EU-a i o najnovijim političkim kretanjima na Kosovu i Albaniji, iskustvo Albanije u sprovođenju Sporazuma o stabilizaciji i pridruživanju kao i korišćenje fondova EU-a za finansiranje reformi predviđenih evropskom agendom.
Na sastanku sa ministrom Bushati, tema razgovora bila su aktuelna dešavanja u obe zemlje, odnosno unapređenje procesa evropskih integracija. Oba ministra su se složili da se poboljša koordinacija između naših dve institucije kako bi se unapredilo sprovođenje Sporazuma o stabilizaciji i pridruživanju, kao i da se krene napred sa evropskim agendama naših zemalja.
Dok u sastanku sa ministarkom Gjosha, razgovarali su o među-institucionalnoj koordinaciji za sprovođenje SSP-a, i procesu aproksimacije i tumačenja zakonodavstva kao i programiranje fondova EU-a za podršku reformi u okviru procesa integracije.
Nakon sastanka, obe ministarke su se obratile medijima na konferenciji za novinare. Tokom konferencije za novinare, ministarka Ahmetaj je rekla: „Albanija je postigla odličan napredak od početka procesa evropskih integracija, u pregovorima za SSP, u ispunjavanju kriterijume za status kandidata i sada se nalazi pred početak pregovora. Iskustvo stečeno na svim nivoima albanskih institucija je iskustvo koje želimo da iskoristimo kako bi se pomogli napori Kosova u procesu evropskih integracija. Isto tako, Republika Kosovo je veoma blizu liberalizacije viza. U tom smislu, iskustvo Albanije u upravljanju procesima nakon dobijanja liberalizacije viza će biti važno za kosovske institucije.
Ministarka Gjosha sa svoje strane je rekla: „Želim da naglasim da Kosovo i Albanija su u različitim fazama procesa integracije a s druge strane su posvećene da budu zajedno u tom procesu. Napredak obe zemlje je jasan i vidljiv. One imaju šta da ponude jedna drugoj u stručnost i tumačenju zakonodavstva. Važno je da naše zemlje čine korake napred, zato i ova saradnja treba da se i dalje intenzivira.“
