Priština, 5. april 2017 – Ministarka za evropske integracije, Mimoza Ahmetaj predstavila je ispred Skupštinske komisije napredak u sprovođenju SSP-a; napredak u okviru liberalizacije viznog režima, sprovođenje Evropske agende reformi i o pristupu Kosova u programima EU-a. Što se tiče procesa liberalizacije viznog režima, Evropska komisija je potvrdila postignuti napredak u okviru ispunjavanja kriterijuma za borbu protiv korupcije. U kontekstu ovog napretka vredi napomenuti da je broj tražioca azila pao za 500% od 72,491 u 2015. godini, na 11,475 u 2016. Dok je broj korisnika Fonda za reintegraciju povećan za 100% od 2,912 u 2015. godini na 5,786 u 2016. U novembru je pokrenuta Evropska agenda reformi koja sadrži 22 ključnih prioriteta koje treba ispuniti u 2017. godini u ovim oblastima: u dobrom upravljanju i vladavini prava, konkurentnosti i investicionoj klimi, u zapošljavanju i obrazovanju. Ministarka Ahmetaj obavestila je prisutne da je posle prvog sastanka Saveta za stabilizaciju i pridruživanje u novembru 2016. godine, pokrenuta je prva runda sastanaka struktura SSP-a i sve do kraja godine će se održati i drugi sastanci sa odborima SSP-a. Ministarka Ahemtaj takođe je naglasila značaj uključivanja građana u ovom procesu kroz organizaciju kampanja, o čemu je rekla: “MEI sprovodi kampanju za komunikaciju SSSP-a i u toku pet nedelja je emitovano 5 video klipova u nacionalnim televizijama gde se daju informacije o tome šta predstavlja SSP za građane, studente, poslovanja i pravosuđe. Poruke na radio stanicama, internet portalima i društvenim medijima. Distribuirane su informacione brošure i izloženo je 80 bilborda u različitim opštinama Kosova.” Na ovom sastanku se razgovaralo i o Instrumentu za pretpristupnu pomoć (IPA). MEI je završio program IPA 2016 (prvi deo) u ukupnoj vrednosti od 45.5 miliona evra, a trenutno se pregovori nastavljaju za direktnu budžetsku podršku iz fondova EU-a u sektoru javne uprave u vrednosti od 25 miliona evra, kao deo finansijskog sporazuma za IPA 2016. U nastavku se razgovaralo o pristupu Kosova u programima EU-a, ministarka Ahmetaj je istakla da: “U novembru je potpisan okvirni sporazum između Kosova i EU-a o pristupu Kosova u programima EU-a. Kosovo treba da odluči u kojim od 17 programa će podneti zahtev za članstvo i da svaki program ima finansijske troškove, a korist se ostvaruje na osnovu konkurentnosti.” Druga tema razgovora je bila i prevod acquis-a EU-a. U saradnji sa Republikom Albanijom je objavljen Priručnik za prevođenje pravnih akata EU-a na albanskom jeziku.
