Prishtinë 22 janar 2015 – Ministri i Integrimit Evropian, Bekim Çollaku pati një takim njohës me u.d. Shefin e Këshillit të Evropës në Prishtinë z. Andrew Forde dhe njëkohësisht biseduan për zhvillimet aktuale në Kosovë, procesin e integrimit Evropian si dhe për anëtarësimin e Kosovës në Këshillin e Evropës.
Në kuadër të diskutimeve për procesin e integrimit Evropian, përqëndrimi ishte në çështjet më aktuale si procesi drejt nënëshkrimit të Marrëveshjes s Stabilizim Asociimit MSA, dhe avancimet në kaudër të plotësimit të kritereve për liberalizim të vizave. Me këtë rast ministri Çollaku tha se:”Kosova tashmë është në përfundim të përmbushjes së obligimeve të veta dhe tash pret që edhe Brukseli të njohë këto të arritura dhe të konkretizoj këto veprime me nënshkrim të marrëveshjeve”.
Ministri Çollaku poashtu ritheksoi se:”Institucionet e Republikës së Kosovës janë duke punuar me prioritet në agjendën evropiane dhe, në këtë drejtim jemi në rrugë të mbarë drejtë arritjes së synimeve. Njëkohësisht, edhe qytetarët e Kosovës presin që së shpejti të nënshkruhet marrveshja e Stabilizim Asociimit me të cilën Kosova do të jetë edhe një hap para drejtë anëtarësimit. Sikurse edhe në kuadër të liberalizimit të vizave, Kosova ka plotësuar pothuajse shumicën e kritereve të dala nga udhërrëfyesi dhe së shpejti presim vlerësime positive. Nga Këshilli i Evropës presim mbështetjen në procesin e aplikimit dhe anëtarësimit si anëtare me të drejta të plota”.
Për të arriturat e Kosovës në këto procese, ministri Çollaku ka falënderuar edhe z. Forde në emër të institucionit që përfaqëson pasiqë Kosova deri më tani ka pasur mbështetjen e plotë dhe do të përkujdeset që edhe në të ardhmen të vazhdoj ky bashkëpunim.
Nga ana e tij u.d. Shefi i Këshillit të Evropës në Prishtinë z. Forde, duke vlerësuar të arriturat e Kosovës ka thënë se;”Ne do të vazhdojmë ta përkrahim dhe asistojmë Kosovën me të gjitha instrumentet që kemi në dispozicion në fusha të ndryshme si për të Drejtat e Njeriut, Qeverisjen dhe Sundimin e Ligjit”.
