Prishtinë, 6 nëntor 2013 – Ministrja e Integrimit Evropian, Vlora Çitaku, priti në takim Z. Nick Haekkerup, Ministër për Tregti dhe Çështjeve Evropiane, si dhe delegacionin përbërës nga zyrtarë të lartë nga Qeveria e Danimarkës. Në takim u diskutua për zhvillimet e fundit në Kosovë siç janë; parapritjet e Kosovës me fillimin e negociatave për Marrëveshjen e Stabilizim Asociimit (MSA) me BE-në, organizimi i suksesshëm i procesit zgjedhjor në territorin e Kosovës dhe, krijimi i një momentumi të ri për avancimin e marrëdhënjeve me Serbinë, procesin e njohjeve të shtetit të Kosovës dhe, reformat e përgjithshme sa i përket agjendës Evropiane për Kosovën.
Ministrja Çitaku dhe Ministri Haekkerup folën për zhvillimet më të fundit në vendin tonë me theks të veçantë u potencua kredibiliteti që ka fituar Kosova me çasjen pozitive ndaj normalizimit të raporteve me Sërbinë, plotësimin e kritereve dhe fillimin e negociatave për nënshkrim të MSA-së me BE-në. Poashtu,
Pas takimit Ministrja Çitaku dhe Ministri Haekkerup mbajtën një konferencë të përbashkët për media.
Ministrja Çitaku tha se e njoftoi Ministrin Haekkerup për realizimin e zgjedhjeve të sukseshme në tërë territorin e Kosovës: “këto zgjedhje janë historike për faktin se për herë të parë pas 14 vitesh ato u organizuan në tërë territorin e Kosovës dhe për herë të parë do të kemi institucione legjitime dhe legale edhe në veri të vendit”.
Ministrja Çitaku potencoi edhe një herë rëndësinë e përmirësimit të raporteve me Sërbinë dhe tha se:” nëpërmjet dialogut të udhëhequr nga baronesha Ashton që po mbahet në Bruksel dhe me nënshkrimin e marrëveshjes së 19 prillit, e ka ngritur subjektivitetin e Kosovës dhe ja ka bërë më të lehtë Bashkimit Evropian marrjen e vendimit për nisjen e negociatave për nënshkrimin e marrëveshjes për Stabilizim Asociim (MSA), në mes Bashkimit Evropian dhe Kosovës”.
Ndërsa Ministri Danez tha se”e çmoj bashkëpunimin ndërmjet Danimarkës dhe Kosovës dhe dua të potencoj se Danimarka është një mbështetëse e Pavarësisë së Kosovës dhe rrugës së Kosovës drejt Bashkimit Evropian. Poashtu, e njohim progresin që Kosova ka arritur ta realizoj nëpërmjet reformave, normalizimit të marrëdhënjeve me Serbinë, dhe jemi të vetëdijshëm që rruga drejtë anëtarësimit është e gjatë por Kosova qëndron në rrugë të duhur në këtë drejtim. Ne kemi parë që ju keni marrë hapa mjaft të guximshëm dhe dua të përsëris se do ta keni përkrahjen e vazhdueshme të Danimarkës”.
