Vjenë 18 maj 2016 – Raportet e shkëlqyera bilaterale ndërmjet Republikës së Kosovës dhe Republikës Federale të Austrisë dje u kurorëzuan edhe me krijimin e “Shoqatës së Miqësisë Austri-Kosovë“, e cila do të forcojë dhe thelloj raportet bilaterale ndërmjet Kosovës dhe Austrisë.
Në emër të Qeverisë së Republikës së Kosovës themelimin e kësaj shoqate e përshëndeti z. Ramadan Ilazi, zëvendësministër për Integrim Evropian, i cili në fjalën e tij deklaroi se “ndjehem i nderuar dhe i privilegjuar të marr pjesë në emër të Qeverisë së Kosovës. Krijimi i shoqatës së tillë rikonfirmon edhe njëherë raportet e shkëlqyera ndërmjet dy vendeve tona”. Zëvendësministri Ilazi, ndër të tjera tha së këto ditë do të mbahen mend në kujtesën tonë për suksesin e Kosovës. “Hyrja në fuqi e MSA-së, rekomandimi i Komisionit Evropian për heqjen e vizave për kosovarët, pranimi i Kosovës në UEFA dhe FIFA janë vetëm disa nga sukseset e Republikës tonë dhe sot krijimi i Shoqatës së Miqësisë Austri-Kosovë do të ndihmoj që agjenda evropiane e Kosovës të avancohet edhe më tutje”.
Ndërsa, Ambasadori i Republikës së Kosovës në Vjenë, z.Sami Ukelli, deklaroi se themelimi i Shoqatës është një \”hap i rëndësishëm drejt thellimit të mëtejshëm të marrëdhënieve ndërmjet Austrisë dhe Kosovës\”. Ambasadori Ukelli falënderoi Qeverinë e Austrisë dhe qytetarët austriakë për mbështetjen e vazhdueshme në përforcimin e Republikës së Kosovës.
Nënkryetarja e Parlamentit Evropian dhe raportuesja e Parlamentit Evropian për Kosovën, Ulrike Lunacek, e cila njëkohësisht është zgjedhur nënkryetare e shoqatës, përmes një video-mesazhi përshëndeti iniciativën e ndërmarrë për themelimin e Shoqatës së Miqësisë Austri-Kosovë, duke rikonfirmuar mbështetjen e saj për avancimin e proceseve integruese për Republikën e Kosovës.
Zëvendësshefi i Seksionit për Evropë në Ministrin e Punëve të Jashtme të Austrisë, z.Werner Almhofer, duke përshëndetur themelimin e shoqatës rikonfirmoi përkushtimin e Qeverisë së Austrisë për të përkrahur Kosovën, sidomos në procesin e integrimit evropian.
Kryetar i Shoqatës së Miqësisë Austri-Kosovë është zgjedhur Lukas Mandl, deputet në Landin e Niederösterreich. Mandl tha se: \”Një Republikë evropiane e Kosovës është në interes të popullit të Kosovës dhe të Evropës\”. Ndër të tjera Mandl deklaroi se \”ia vlen të punosh për Kosovën”, e cila ka një të ardhme të sigurt evropiane.
Shoqata e Miqësisë Austri-Kosovë është grup ndërpartiak që do të pranohet në organizatën ombrellë të grupeve të tilla miqësore PaN (Partner i të gjitha kombeve). Shoqata e Miqësisë Austri-Kosovë zgjodhi edhe organet drejtuese të saj, ku në Bordin Këshillues janë zgjedhur personalitete të njohura austriake si ish-zëvendës-kancelari dhe eksperti i Ballkanit Erhard Busek, ish-eurodeputeti Hannes Swoboda (SPO), Gjeneral-Brigade i Ushtrisë Federal Austriake Johann Luif, si dhe personalitete tjera nga politika, diplomacia, kultura, shkenca dhe mediat.
