Prishtinë, 4 shkurt 2014 – Ministrja e Integrimit Evropian, Vlora Çitaku priti në takim përfaqësuesit nga Fondi per arsimimin e Romeve (REF) me seli në Budapest, Hungari. Gjatë këtij takimi u diskutua për mundësitë dhe format e avancimit të integrimit sa më të suksesshëm të fëmijëve të komunitetit rom, ashkali dhe egjiptian në sistemin arsimor në Kosovë.
Ministrja Çitaku potencoi edhe një herë përkushtimin e Qeverisë së Kosovës për krijimin e kushteve sa më të mira për të gjitha komunitetet në Kosovë. Ajo deklaroi se është duke punuar me intenzitet të shtuar në mënyre që integrimi dhe qasja në arsim e komuniteteve Rom, Ashkali dhe Egjiptian të jetë sa më efektive dhe të sjellë rezultate për gjithë komunitetin poashtu edhe për gjithë shoqërinë.
Në kuadër të këtij angazhimi janë organizuar shumë takime, diskutime të hapura me përfaqësues të OJQ-ve të cilët janë aktiv në fushën e mbështetjes së integrimit të komuniteteve që kanë nevojë për mbështje të shtuar me synim të vlerësimit të gjendjes aktuale dhe ndërmarrjes së hapave adekuate bazuar në të gjeturat e evidentuara .
Ministrja Çitaku tha se: “Arsimimi në Kosovë është e drejtë e garantuar me ligj, dhe obligim për çdo prind që ti mundësoëj çdo fëmije qasje në arsim. Poashtu, arsimi i fëmijëve konsiderohet edhe si çelës për një të ardhme të ndritshme me integrimin dhe përfshirje sociale të komuniteteve Rom, Ashkali dhe Egjiptianë në shoqërinë Kosovare”.
Ministrja Çitaku shtoi se: “Institucionet përgjegjëse arsimore kanë dëshmuar një përkushtim të madh në arritjen e synimeve të përcaktuara për Integrimin e këtyre tri komuniteteve”.
Përfaqësuesit e fondit për Arsimimin e Romëve, Szilvia Pallghy adhe Marius Taba kërkuan mbështetje nga Ministria e Integrimeve dhe për këtë Ministrja Çitaku u zotua per përkushtimin jo vetëm të Ministrisë që ajo drejton por përkrahje premtoi nga edhe nga Qeveria e Republikës së Kosoves. Ministrja Çitaku njeherit është edhe kryesuese e Komitetit Drejtues Nderinstitucional për integrimin e Komunitetit Rom, Ashkali dhe Egjiptian.
