Prishtinë, 24 tetor 2013 – Ministrja e Integrimit Evropian, Vlora Çitaku zhvilloi një takim me Drejtorin Politik, të Ministrisë së Punëve të Jashtme (MPJ) të Austrisë, z. Jan Kickert, të shoqëruar nga drejtori i Departamentit për Ballkanin Përëndimorë në MPJ të Austrisë dhe Ambasadorin Austriak në Kosovë, z. Johann Brieger.
Gjatë takimit u bisedua për zhvillimet e fundit në Kosovë, progresin e arritur me agjendën Evropiane, fillimin e negociatave për MSA dhe procesin e liberalizmit të vizave. Poashtu, u diskutua vlerësimi pozitiv nga Komisioni Evropian për progresin e tërë Ballkanit perëndimorë për rugën drejt integrimit në Bashkimin Evropian.
Ministrja Çitaku më në detaje e njoftoi Ambasadorin Kickert për përgatitjet e Qeverisë së Kosovës për fillimin e negociatave për Marrëveshjen e Stabilizim Asociimit (MSA). Poashtu, u diskutuan sfidat aktuale të Republikës së Kosovës para zgjedhjeve të ardhshme; integrimin dhe rritjen e pjesëmarrjes në zgjedhje të të gjitha komuniteteve si një ndër prioritetet e Qeverisë së Kosovës duke iu referuar integrimit Evropian si dhe procesit të liberalizmit të vizave.
Me këtë rast Ministrja Çitaku tha: “Qëllimi i Komisionit Evropian për ti hapur negociatat për MSA këtë muaj dhe për ti përmbyllur në pranverë të vitit të ardhshëm tashmë është rikonfirmuar. Poashtu është vlerësuar lartë përkushtimi yne në kontekstin e dialogut të liberalizimit të vizave. Sidoqoftë, ne jemi më se të vetëdijshëm që puna jonë nuk ka përfunduar dhe tani më shumë se kurrë, vendi jonë, institucionet tona, Qeveria, Kuvendi dhe institucionet e drejtësisë duhet të japin angazhimin maksimal.”
Në vijim, Ministrja Çitaku falënderoi Ambasadorin Kickert për mbështetjen e vazhdueshme që Austria i ka dhënë Kosovës në drejtim të procesit të integrimit Evropian dhe e siguroi atë mbi angazhimin e qeverisë së Kosovës në përmbushjen e të gjitha reformave të nevojshme për të avancuar në proceset kyçe.
Ambasadori Kickert vlerësoi marrëdhëniet e shkëlqyera politiko-ekonomike mes dy vendeve tona dhe shprehu vullnetin për zhvillimin e mëtejshëm të tyre në të gjitha nivelet dhe fushat me fokus të veçantë në bashkëpunimin ekonomik. Në raport me zhvillimet e fundit në vend Z. Kickert tha se: ”Kosova është duke vepruar drejt duke qenë e përkushtuar në përmirësimin e raporteve me Serbinë. Qasja konstruktive e Kosovës po shërben si shembull i mirë për tërë rajonin ngase barrierat e së kaluarës duhet tejkaluar në mënyrë që të shkohet drejt një të ardhme prosperuese”.
Krejt në fund, Ambasadori Kickert theksoi se Austria do të vazhdoj ta mbështesë Kosovën përkushtimin e saj në përmbushjen e reformave të parapara.
