Prishtinë, 5 Dhjetor 2018 – Zëvendësministri i Integrimit Evropian, Lirak Çelaj, priti në takim ambasadorin e Irlandës në Hungari, jorezident në Kosovë, Pat Kelly, me të cilin diskutoi për padrejtësinë rreth mosliberalizimit të vizave, perspektivën evropiane të Kosovës, të arriturat dhe sfidat e procesit integrues.
Zv. Ministri Çelaj e falënderoi Ambasadorin irlandez për votimin pro Kosovës në Parlamentin Evropian dhe Interpol, duke e njohur atë me realizimin e 95 kushteve nga udhërrëfyesi për liberalizimin e vizave për qytetarët e Kosovës.
“Jemi të dëshpëruar për mos liberalizimin e vizave. Megjithatë, ne jemi të angazhuar fuqimisht për procesin integrues. Për këtë proces, kemi konsensus nacional, duke zbatuar me prioritet Agjendën e Reformave Evropiane si dhe Marrëveshjen e Stabilizim Asociimit”, theksoi z. Çelaj, duke shtuar se nuk kemi alternativë tjetër, përpos integrimit me vlerat evropiane.
Lëvizja e lirë është vlerë të cilën qytetarët tanë duhet ta disponojnë, në veçanti është e rëndësishme për të rinjtë tanë, theksoi z. Çelaj, duke vënë në dukje edhe rreziqet që sjell izolimi për të rinjtë tanë dhe mundësia e ndikimit negativ të fuqive globale të cilat në të kaluarën ishin jomiqësore me rajonin.
Ambasadori i Irlandës, Pat Kelly, vlerësoi progresin e arritur në Kosovë, realizimin e 95 kushteve nga udhërrëfyesi si dhe perspektivën integruese për gjashtë vendet e Ballkanit perëndimor. Ai theksoi se ndryshimet që priten të ndodhin vitin tjetër në institucionet evropiane mund të sjellin vështirësi, megjithëse ai ritheksoi se Irlanda e mbështet plotësisht liberalizimin e vizave për qytetarët e Kosovës, integrimin në organizatat ndërkombëtare si dhe proceset integruese, duke vënë në pah ndryshimet e jashtëzakonshme pozitive që solli procesi integrues për vendin e tij.
Në takim u theksua po ashtu rëndësia e dialogut, fqinjësia e mirë dhe zgjedhjet me interes të përbashkët dhe rajonin.
Po ashtu, u vlerësua lartë bashkëpunimi i deritashëm, Kosovë-Irlandë si dhe gatishmëria e thellimit të këtij bashkëpunimi, duke u pajtuar se Kosova mund të marrë disa nga përvojat integruese nga ky vendi mik, i cili është ndër vendet me cilësinë më të lartë të jetës në Bashkimin Evropian.
