Athinë, 13 qershor 2013 – Sot është mbajtur takimi i VIII i Komitetit Drejtues të Kornizës Investuese për Ballkanin Perëndimor (Western Balkan Investment Framework – WBIF) në Athinë. Komiteti Drejtues ka shqyrtuar projektet e dorëzuara në kuadër të raundit IX të aplikimit.
Në raundin e IX Kosova ka aplikuar me një projekt n fushën e hekurudhave, respektivisht dizajnimi detaj dhe dosja e tenderit për rehabilitimin e rrugës 10 hekurudhore. Rruga 10 ndërlidh Kosovën me rajonin dhe Bashkimin Evropian, perms korridorit X dhe korridorit VIII, të cilët janë prioritetet kyçe rajonale.
Projekti do të përkrahet nga Banka Evropiane për Rindertim dhe Zhvillim (BERZh) dhe njëkohësisht paraqet projektin e pare që nga anëtarsimi i Kosovës në BERZh. Granti fillestar në vlerë prej 1.840.000 Euro do të sigurohet nga Fondi i Përbashkët Evropian për Ballkanin Perëndimor (EWBJF).
Granti do të hap rrugë për investimin e BERZh-it në vlerë prej 70 milion Euro.
Në kuadër të takimit, Komitetit Drejtues ka përzgjedhur Kosovën dhe Kroacinë për të prezantuar gjendjen e zbatimit të projekteve që janë miratuar në raunde të më hershme të WBIF-it.
Në këtë drejtim, Kosova ka prezantuar projektin “Përmirësimi i ngrohjes qëndrore në Prishtinë”.Projekti i cili është përgatitur nga Komuna e Prishtinës (2 milion euro) dhe është duke u përkrahur nga Banka Gjermane për Zhvillim (KfW) me kredi ne vlere prej 5 milion Euro, Bashkimi Evropian / WBIF grant ne vlere prej 13.8 milion Euro, Qeveria Gjermane me grant në vlere prej 6 milion Euro, SIDA me 1.9 milion euro grant, Qeveria e Luksemburgut me 1.5 milion euro grant. Vlera totale e projektit është 30.2 milion Euro. Projekti i Ngrohjes Qendrore është teknologji e eficencës së energjisë ku bëhet përdorimi maksimal i avullit të krijuar nga prodhimi i energjisë elektrike, i cili normalisht do të hudhej në ambient.
Qëllimi i projektit është që të përmirësohen shërbimet e ngrohjes qendrore për konsumatorët ekzistues, të zgjerohet fusha e mbulimit me ngrohje qendrore, si dhe të zëvendësohet ngrohja nga përdorimi i energjisë elektrikte dhe lëndës së drurit. Si rezultat, me këtë project kostoja e prodhimit të ngrohjes do të jetë më e ulët dhe përdorimi i mazutit do të zvogëlohet, e cila në anën tjetër shërben në përmirësimin e kualitetit të ajrit në qytetin e Prishtinës.

Korniza Investuese për Ballkanit Perëndimor synon të përmirësoj bashkëpunimin dhe të ngrit kapacitet e financiare për investime që kontribuojnë në zhillimin socio-ekonomik dhe avancimin e procesit integrues të Ballkanit Perëndimor. Institucionet që kontribuojnë me resurse financiare në kuadër të kornizës janë: Komisioni Evropian, Banka për Zhvillim e Këshillit të Evropës, Banka Evropiane për Rindërtim dhe Zhvillim, Banka Evropiane për Investime, Banka Gjermane për Zhvillim, Banka Botërore si dhe donatorët bilateral.
Korniza fokusohet në sektorë kyç të ekonomive të Ballkanit Perëndimor përfshirë: energjinë, mjedisin, transportin, çështjet sociale si dhe zhvillimin e sektorit privat.
