Aim and program of the visit

A study visit to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France took place as part of the activities with financial support from the Luxembourg Government under the Human Capacity Development Facility for European integration managed by the Ministry for European Integration of Republic of Kosovo, as part of Chapter 23, namely the Human Rights section.

The visit aimed at building the professional capacity of key institutions in applying international mechanisms in the field of human rights, with particular emphasis on the European Convention on Human Rights and the admissibility of cases before the ECHR. During the visit the participants had the opportunity to meet senior court officials as well as judges from Albania. The delegation was also received by Mrs. Mimoza Ahmeti at the Kosovo Consulate in Strasbourg.

Benefits / lessons learned for institutions

By way of this visit, the participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, advance knowledge in this field, deepen contacts and cooperation, and undergo professional knowledge with regard to the application of international human rights mechanisms.
