Information Campaign

#visafree is an information and communication campaign for all citizens of Kosovo to raise awareness about the visa-free regime in the Schengen area. The #visafree campaign has been launched to inform the citizens of Kosovo about the rules, rights and obligations, procedures and opportunities when traveling to Schengen countries.

Kosovo entered the visa liberalization process in 2012. A roadmap with 95 conditions was met and confirmed by the EU Commission on July 18, 2018.

On September 13, 2018, the European Parliament voted in favor of Visa Liberalization.

The EU Parliament’s recommendation must be approved by the EU Council to officially enter into force.

Visa liberalization means free movement in the Schengen area allowing you to travel without a visa for up to 90 days (within a period of 180 days). However, visa liberalization does not give you the right to work or study in any of the Schengen area countries.
