Minister Hoxha seeks European Commission support in implementing Reforms from European Agenda

Prishtina, 26 April 2018– Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha met with Mr. David Cullen, Head of Unit for Kosovo in the European Commission, whereby discussed the Country Report, integration process achievements and challenges.

At this meeting, Minister Hoxha and Mr. Cullen discussed findings from latest Country Report and the manner how to address them.

Also, the European Reform Agenda and the processes to take place under this agenda were discussed.

“The reforms envisaged in the European Agenda and economic reforms include also the administration reforms that we see as an important step to the integration process. Through the implementation of the National Program for Implementation of the SAA, the Ministry, during September last year, has worked on revising the SAA Program and its implementation”, stated Minister Hoxha, adding that Kosovo institutions remain committed to performing tasks that advance further our integration process.

Mr. David Cullen noted that the modernization, transformation and advancement of administration in Kosovo are exemplary investments to the future of Kosovo’s citizens, and this has strong influence to the improvement of quality of life for citizens as well as integrative values.

Head of Unit for Kosovo in the European Commission, Mr. Cullen also expressed the readiness of the European Commission to support the European Reform Agenda and Sector Budget Support for Kosovo.
