Prishtina, 28 May 2018 – At the invitation of the Group for Legal and Political Studies, the GAP Institute and the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies, the Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, participated as a panelist at the Discussion Roundtable on European Reform (Agenda ERA): Challenges and Expectations.
Minister Hoxha emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union have launched the Reform Agenda (ERA). The ERA foresees the implementation of 22 priorities from a number of institutions.
“So far there has been considerable progress; which has advanced especially after the adoption of 11 laws in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. Regarding the rule of law among the greatest achievements considered is the adoption of the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest and the adoption of the amendment of the Law on State Prosecution. In this regard, there has been progress in a number of priorities”, stated Minister Hoxha, and thus, highlighted some of these priorities.
Minister Hoxha stated that there is no doubt that we must show commitment and seriousness in the implementation of the priorities. The Ministry of European Integration is assisting in this direction and is working closely with all institutions towards the implementation of these priorities.
“Good governance and rule of law, competitiveness and improvement of the investment climate, as well as the most advanced employment and higher education policies are undoubtedly our duty and obligation towards our country’s citizens”, said Minister Hoxha, emphasizing the inclusive institutional engagement, but also the incorporation of civil society.
