Minister Hoxha met with German Deputy, Manuel Sarrazin: Germany a strong ally for Kosovo integration process

Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted in a meeting the Deputy of German Bundestag, Mr. Manuel Sarrazin with collaborators. On this occasion, they discussed for achievements and challenges of integration process, with a special emphasis on SAA implementation, European Integration Agenda and regional cooperation.

Minister Hoxha emphasized the importance of processes, pointing out achievements related to visa liberalization and reforms being taken by the country with regards to the integration process. “Germany is a strong supporter of reforms being taken by our country towards integration process. Our achievements would have not been of this level without the support of the friend country, Germany, which in particular supports the strengthening of rule of law, comprehensive reform and economic development”, stated Minister Hoxha, adding that the Brussels recommendations are the daily work of institutions, in compliance with competencies.

Deputy Sarrazin stated that challenges of integration process require full commitment; therefore, in this regard, as he stated, Kosovo and region enjoys support for meeting expectations of citizens from integration process, regional cooperation and strengthening neighbourly understanding.

Deputy Sarrazin stated that he is attentively following developments in Kosovo and region, mentioning that the implementation of SAA, recommendations of Country Report and strengthening rule of law, with a special emphasis on economic development and good governance, is priority for Kosovo.
