Prishtina, 10 October 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted in a meeting Mr René Eschemann, Director of KfW Development Bank, one of the most powerful German banks, discussing this bank’s projects in Kosovo.
KfW is a very credible bank that has supported Kosovo with capital projects of special public interest, said Minister Hoxha, pointing out that the projects being supported by this bank are crucial for the citizens and the process Kosovo is going through.
Minister Hoxha emphasized that the environmental protection and regulation, water treatment, and the creation of new jobs through these public activities are of special importance to the SAA implementation process and to meeting the criteria and the integration standards. The Minister requested that KfW provide the maximum facilities to implement important infrastructure projects in Kosovo, such as the ones related to energy, environment, and drinking water.
Mr René Eschemann emphasized that KfW, as a strong financial institution, focuses in Kosovo on projects of particular importance such as drinking water, care for sewage treatment and the protection of public health through these activities. Minister Hoxha stressed that Kosovo will be privileged to cooperate for important projects that have an impact on the integration process such as the environment protection, energy saving and renewable energy.
