Luxembourg is a strong supporter and donor of Kosovo’s state-building, said Minister Hoxha and thanked Ambassador Schmit, while describing the level of projects implemented by this Kosovo’s ally.
The areas of interest and the support from Luxembourg are of utmost importance, emphasized Minister Hoxha, with the reform and empowerment of the administration and the assistance for the implementation of the SAA being the key points of this support. Also, the Minister asked for Luxembourg’s support to vote on visa liberalization in the Council of Ministers.
Ambassador Schmit emphasized the importance of implementing the SAA and the comprehensive reform which has an impact not only on visa liberalization but also on other integration processes such as membership in international organizations as well as on the Euro-Atlantic integration process.
Currently, projects in the amount of EUR 22.5 million are being implemented, including sectors such as education, health, and water, while Luxembourg has planned to support Kosovo institutions with various projects worth EUR 30 million during the period 2017-2020.
