Prishtina, 6 April 2016 – In the light of meetings with ambassadors of European Union Member States regarding the visa liberalization process, Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, hosted today in separate meetings the Ambassador of Croatia to Kosovo, Mrs. Maria Kapetanoviq, the Ambassador of Austria, Mr. Gernot Pfandler, the Ambassador of Slovenia, Mr. Miljan Majhen, as well as the Head of Mission in the Sweden Embassy, Mr. Henrik Nilsson. Minister Çollaku informed European diplomats on the progress of the whole visa liberalization process and assessed that Kosovo is in the decisive period regarding this process. “We met the criteria. Now we are waiting for the merit decision that will enable Kosovo citizens to travel without visa in countries of Schengen Area”, stated minister Çollaku during these meetings. He also thanked diplomats of these states for the continuous support given to Kosovo in the European integration process and highlighted the need for the support of these friendly countries for visa liberalization. On the other hand, European diplomats confirmed the supportive positions of the countries for visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens.
