On this occasion, Minister Çitaku informed Danish Minister Wammen on Kosovo’s achievements in the process of European Integration since the last meeting that ministers had in May of this year.
Minister Çitaku stated that “The Government of Kosovo has started to work immediately in short term priorities for the Stabilization and Association Agreement and that result is expected in a fast manner. Furthermore Minister Çitaku added that Kosovo is fully committed to dialogue with Serbia and sees dialogue as the only alternative and very crucial for Kosovo. However Kosovo expects increased commitment from Serbia in fulfilling of achieved agreements during technical dialogue”, added Minister Çitaku.
While, Minister Wammen emphasized that “Dialogue with Serbia is extremely important and at the same time congratulated Kosovo for its commitment in this direction”. He continued saying that “The EU and USA engagement on this issue is a very good sign of cooperation between the two sides”. However, additional work is needed from Kosovo side as well as Serbian side, and that focus should remain on the implementation of the agreements. It is also extremely important that Kosovo continues with reforms because this is going to accelerate process of EU integration”, concluded Minister Wammen.
Minister Çitaku among other thanked Minister Wammen for his personal commitment and Danish Government for the help that it’s giving to Kosovo and its institutions.
