Minister çitaku hosted european affairs parliamentary committee of the macedonian parliament

In this meeting it was emphasized the importance of the contacts, that serve to the exchange of experiences, ideas and practices of integration process in the region or respectively in this case between Macedonia and Kosovo. In more details it was discussed about the latest political developments in Kosovo, with a focus on normalization of the relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, Kosovo advancement in the European agenda and it was discussed for the bilateral relations between Kosovo and Macedonia.

On this occasion Minister Çitaku informed the delegation for the Kosovo progress within the fulfilment of the criteria for the beginning of the negotiations for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with a special focus on the four identified fields of the Feasibility Study for the beginning of the negotiations for Stabilization and Association Agreement and for the recommendation of the members states in order to start the SAA dialogue.
Minister continued by saying that “regarding the regional prospective of the European integration processes, I am deeply convinced that there is no other alternative for the countries of the region except EU. All of us are acknowledged that the entire region is or stands in the final integration processes. In this aspect, Kosovo as the newest country in the Region of Balkans has a luck to pick and choose the best practices regarding the integration processes”.
