Is discussed donor coordination in the field of public finance

The purpose of this meeting was presentation of recent economic developments, respectively macroeconomic and macro fiscal development; recent budget development – 2013 budget. Kosovo Statistics Agency presented the progress in the development of Statistical System of Kosovo, future plans as well five year program of KSA statistics.

Also, were presented latest news from public finance management, by including public finance control and internal audit. Also, GAO presented recent developments over reforming activities of this institution. Beside presentation on recent developments in these fields, institutional officials presented priorities that require donor funding.

Donors presented their new activities, respectively projects that will begin in 2013 and pledged to continue their support in close collaboration with institutions.

On the occasion, also is discussed over so far strengths and weaknesses of the sector and sub-sector working groups. In this aspect, donors urged continuation of regular meetings of sector and sub-sector working groups. Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance and Ministry for European Integration ensured donors that, donor coordination mechanisms will be respected by all and will improve weaknesses anywhere to be found.

For 2012, since 19th of November has begun second round of sector working groups. These meetings have served in order to inform donor community on developments that occurred in each sector during 2012 as well priorities that require donor support in 2013, and following years.
