Prishtina, 14 September 2016 – Today, the Working Group on Addressing Issues of Gender Equality in the European Integration Process, established upon a decision by the former-minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, has held its inaugural meeting in the Ministry of European Integration.
This group shall have an advising role in terms of including gender equality issues in the European integration process, namely in: EU funding program under IPA II platform; the review of the National Program for Implementation of the SAA (NPISAA) and in drafting the Input of the European Commission Country Report.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of European Integration, Mr. Ramadan Ilazi, emphasised that inclusion of gender equality issues is of particular importance to MEI, and therefore I wish successes to the group members in their work.
Moreover, the Working Group is comprised of representatives from the Ministry of European Integration, civil society and representatives from international organizations.
