Prishtina, 15 September 2016 – The Ministry of European Integration, with the support of the German organization – GIZ, has commenced work on drafting the National Strategy for Communicating the European Integration Process.
In today’s meeting, with for the purpose of informing the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, took place the first discussion regarding the challenges in communication, and also were given the first recommendations about the content of the strategy.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of European Integration, Mr. Ramadan Ilazi, stated that the National Strategy for Communicating the European Integration Process will be a comprehensive one. “The strategy shall be a comprehensive document, and not solely a government document, because European integration is a state interest and an aspiration for the people of Kosovo. Therefore, I remain convinced that we will also cooperate with non-government actors in increasing citizen’s information and participation within the European integration process”, stated Deputy Minister Ilazi.
Moreover, Deputy Minister Ilazi added that the strategy is aimed toward a better management of citizen’s expectations regarding European integration, and also improve inter-institutional coordination for informing citizens regarding the European integration process since this will also help increase confidence in this process
