Feasibility Study findings in the field of public administration, war against corruption and judiciary were discussed

On October the 24th 2012, with the invitation of the Ministry of Justice and in cooperation with the Ministry of European Integration, was held the meeting of Executive Commission for European Integration.

In the meeting were present officials of the central institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the representatives of the EU office in Prishtina as well other representatives from Brussels.

During the meeting representatives from the European Commission, Mr. Thomas Gnocchi, Mrs. Cindy Van den Boogert and Mr. Patrick Schmelzer did the presentation of the key findings of the Feasibility Study within the public administration, war against corruption, judiciary, justice, freedom and security, basic rights and regional cooperation.

Among others, as an positive issue was underlined the modern European spirit of the legislation in the field of public administration, in the field judiciary was identified considerable progress in the consolidation of legal base for independent function of the judicial system and considerable financial  support for the judges and the prosecutor. In the field of regional cooperation it’s appreciated the constructive approach Kosovo within the regional and European mechanisms.

From the perspective of the recommendations which need to be implemented  during the following period among others was discussed  the ensures  of physical and financial conditions for independent functionality of Ombudsman, approval of secondary legislation  of the laws on civil services and wages, the approval of the legislation on property confiscation and the approval of the new anti-corruption Strategy.
