Deputy Minister Ilazi met with German MP Marieluise Beck

Initially, Deputy Minister, Mr. Ilazi expressed its gratitude to the German government and its people for a continuous support to Kosovo and its aspirations for joining European Union.  Deputy Minister Ilazi informed Mrs. Beck that Kosovo is expecting to soon sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) as well as a positive and meritorious assessment on visa liberalisation criteria fulfillment.

Mr. Ilazi emphasised that both processes are essential for further advancement of common efforts of human development, economic growth and strengthening of rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.

The meeting discussed the issues of fight against corruption and irregular migration of Western Balkan citizens, whereby, emphasised that this issue is a concern to Germany. Deputy Minister Ilazi stated that a significant number of Kosovo citizens are repatriated, and the repatriation process is continuing.

MP, Marieluise Beck, encouraged Kosovo institutions to continue with the fulfilment of criteria for European integration and to focus on fight against corruption.
