Deputy Minister Ilazi: 2015 will be a European year for Kosovo

Prishtina, 11 March 2015 – Deputy Minister Ilazi attended the conference that was held at University for Business and Technology-UBT, organized by the Austrian-Kosovo Association OeKG, in cooperation with “Alpbach” Club in Kosovo and supported by the Austrian Embassy in Prishtina.

Deputy Minister Ilazi together with Dr. Erhard Busek, former Vice-Chancellor of Austria, presented at the panel “Together in Europe: 20 Years of Austria in EU and relations with Kosovo during this period”.

At his presentation, Deputy Minister Ilazi thanked the Austrian people and state for continued support for Kosovo, and stated that 2015 should be a year of realization of European perspective for Kosovo, and in this respect two important short-term priorities for the government are: signing of the SAA and successful conclusion of the visa liberalization process.

Further, Deputy Minister Ilazi added that Kosovo earlier this year was visited by two European Commissioner and during the upcoming weeks there will be other high level visits, and this is a welcoming message and strong support for European future of Kosovo. Also, Deputy Minister Ilazi stated that for the Kosovo Government it is clear that the EU expects concrete results in the fight against corruption and in addressing the challenges of migration.
