Ministri Çollaku hosts the Director for political affairs at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Kickert in a meeting

Minster Çollaku informed ambassador Kickert about the steps that institutions of Republic of Kosovo have undertaken towards fulfilling visa liberalization requirements, adding that he expects a positive recommendation by the European Commission regarding this process.

Also he underlined that Kosovo is willing to sign the Stabilisation and Association Agreement as soon as possible and to start its implementation in 2016.

Furthermore, they discussed about the preparations of Vienna Summit, which is going to take place on 27-29 August, where Western Balkans Countries will address the EU with joint regional projects that are expected to be funded by the EU. In this regard minister Çollaku informed Mr. Kicker that Kosovo, in coordination with other Western Balkans countries, is willing to present the national infrastructure projects, which also have regional impact.

Moreover, minister Çollaku emphasized that, in capacity of co-chair, today he called the very first meeting of National Investment Council where topic of discussion will be the list of priority sectoral projects.

Meanwhile, the Director for political affairs at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jan Kickert stressed that Austria strongly supports Kosovo in signing the SAA Agreement and conclusion of visa liberalization process. He also stressed the importance of regional cooperation, being convinced that Vienna Summit will serve as a platform to confirm the strengthened cooperation through infrastructure projects which will impact the socioeconomic development in Western Balkan countries.

Also the ambassador underlined that assessment mission on fulfilling the visa liberalization requirements, that visited Kosovo, was encouraged with the implementation of technical criteria by confirming the support of Austria in conclusion of this process.
