Prishtina, 19 March 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted today in a meeting the Head of D3 Unit for Kosovo within the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Mr. David Cullen. They discussed about achievements and challenges of integration process, advancement of European perspective of Kosovo, specifically advancement of European Reform Agenda (ERA) implementation.
Minister Hoxha pointed out the progress and challenges of integration process, in particular obligations deriving from SAA, European Reform Agenda (ERA), as well as challenges of this process. “We are focused with the utmost responsibility on fulfilling our obligations deriving from SAA, ERA in particular, implementation of international agreements, as well as strengthening the rule of law. Based on the government program, we are implementing reforms required as part of ERA and SAA, but also increasing the quality of life of our citizens, increasing the domestic production, strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies, advancing education, health, as well as in other fields considered as priority”, stated Minister Hoxha.
Mr. Cullen thanked Minister Hoxha for the receipt and expressed his gratefulness with regards to the increased engagement of Kosovo institutions for integration process and European Agenda.
Also, Mr. Cullen expressed the readiness of European Commission for further support in different forms, which is necessary for further SAA and ERA implementation process, in particular with regards to the rule of law and good governance, fight against crime and corruption, supporting competitiveness and investments in education, employment and increasing institutional efficiency.
