Prishtina, 11 December 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Ms. Dhurata Hoxha, today hosted in a meeting Mr. Pavel Bilek, Charge d`Affaires in the Czech Embassy in Kosovo, with whom she discussed the establishment of cooperation and the integration process.
The Czech Republic has been a perpetual supporter of Kosovo’s statehood, emphasised Minister Hoxha, while appreciating this friendly country’s recent support within the European Parliament and Interpool, by voting in favour of Kosovo.
“Today we find ourselves ahead of a new challenge, i.e. the challenge of liberalisation. Despite having fulfilled all conditions for liberalisation, we still remain the only country being deprived of a fundamental right, that is Free Movement”, stated Minister Hoxha, while adding that country’s of former communist dictatorial regimes know at first hand the feeling of isolation, restrictions and the never-ending procedures citizens have to go through for obtaining visa.
The Charge d’Affaires of the Czech Embassy, Mr. Bilek, highly praised the fulfilment of all conditions for liberalisation and reaffirmed the support of Czech Republic to Kosovo throughout all processes, with particular emphasis in the integration process, European Reform Agenda, and dialogue as one of the core values of the European Union.
Minister Hoxha and Mr. Bilek agreed that Kosovo and Czech Republic have the willingness and readiness to deepen mutual cooperation by sharing integration experiences, supporting Kosovo’s membership in international organizations, but also through comprehensive cooperation in the capacity of two amicable countries.
