Prishtina, 8 May 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, met today MEPs of right-wing parties, known as EPP parties, Mr. Andrey Kovatchev, Mr. Asim Ademov, Mr. Adam Szejnfeld and Mr. Olivier le Sawc, political advisor.
Minister Hoxha highlighted achievements in the integration process and challenges of this process, adding that they expect visa liberalization this year.
“Our path has no alternative: we are strongly committed to integration process and we have fulfilled all conditions for our citizens to be able to freely move in the European Union. We are committed to SAA implementation, European Reform Agenda and other reforms under Brussels recommendations”, stated Minister Hoxha, adding that expects the unspared support of the right-wing parties group, EPP, to achieve visa liberalization this year.
MEPs stated that People’s Parties in the European Parliament are among the most powerful parliamentary groups; they see and recognize Kosovo as part of these values, as they believe Europe to be a great community of values and principles, where freedom, justice, security, respect for the dignity of human life and gender equality, with a special emphasis on solidarity between Europeans, are the most fundamental ones.
As MEPs stated, Kosovo will be supported even in the future; however, they requested the maximum commitment of institutions to integration process, firstly the strengthening of rule of law and implementation of reforms.
