Minister Hoxha meets Commissioner Hahn and urges to accelerate decision-making process on visa liberalization

Salzburg, 1 October 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, met with the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Mr. Johannes Hahn, during the 14th Conference of European Regions and Cities being held in Salzburg.

The Minister thanked Mr. Hahn for his dedication for visa liberalization, as well as for EU enlargement in the Western Balkans. Also, the Minister asked the support of Mr. Hahn in order to accelerate and complete the visa liberalization process for Kosovo people during this year.

We have met all the conditions outlined in the Visa Liberalization Roadmap. We are pushing ahead the European Reform Agenda, and with added dynamism, we are implementing the measures envisaged by the SAA, stated Minister Hoxha. Upon the fulfilment of the relevant conditions, we expect the EU member states and institutions to carry out all procedural steps and the process to be completed without delay.

EU Enlargement Commissioner, Mr. Hahn, stressed that he supports Kosovo in the integration process, including visa liberalization.
