Prishtina, 7 March 2019 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted today in a meeting the Mayor of Fushe Kosova, Mr. Burim Berisha, where they discussed about the location of the hazardous waste landfill, which is amongst joint projects with the European Union.
After the meeting, Minister Hoxha, through social media, expressed that she is looking forward to a solution of mutual interest and to not lose the funds planned for this project.

“At the meeting with the Mayor of Fushe Kosova, Burim Berisha, we addressed the issue of the location of the hazardous waste landfill as one of the joint projects with the European Union.
We are on the road to integration without any alternative and, therefore, receiving EU funds should be treated with priority. Those funds enable implementation some of the priorities of this process, such as the Landfill. Kosovo needs a landfill, but also the safety of citizens should not be jeopardized when choosing the location.
I am looking forward to a solution of mutual interest and not lose the funds planned for this project.”
