Prishtine, 10 October 2018 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, hosted today in a meeting the Head of Unit for Kosovo and Macedonia in the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Mr. David Cullen and his associates.
Minister Hoxha informed Mr. Cullen regarding the continuous commitment to reforms and measures under the joint Plan for the Implementation of the SAA, thus preparing the country for membership and being part of the Council of Europe. Also, the European Reform Agenda, alongside the SAA, remains a priority.
”We are committed to implementing the SAA and ERA 1 process, together with you, by accelerating the process and implementing the ERA 2 framework. We believe to complete the implementation of the current action plan, with the exception of those facing political problems” stated Minister Hoxha.
Mr. David Cullen, Head of Unit for Kosovo within the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, stated that the priorities are the same as those highlighted by the European Commission, combating corruption and organized crime, and he also noted that they have seen a number of positive measures being implemented which have received Brussels support.
Minister Hoxha and Mr. Cullen also expressed optimism about the visa liberalization process, after the vote on the Kosovo Report by the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs. –
