Prishtina, 9 October 2017 – Ministerial Council for European Integration held its next meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Minister Dhurata Hoxha.
Prime Minister Haradinaj extended his gratitude to the Minister Hoxha for consistency in the issue of Integration and the importance attached to this issue. He requested a methodology to fulfill the legal obligations for the integration path. Prime Minister Haradinaj also warned that institutions are delayed in this process and demanded greater commitment in the integration process.
In her speech, Minister Hoxha stressed that she intends to change the dynamics of the integration process and accelerate fulfillment of assumed obligations under the European Reform Agenda, by stressing that the European integration process has no alternative, it is the orientation that we chose, and therefore tasks shall be carried out so that Kosovo can make progress.
“Each institution shall fulfill obligations arising from the European Reform Agenda. The purpose of the Ministerial Council meeting is to inform the prime minister and us where we stand in the fulfillment of these obligations and if there are delays, to know why, and to how we can together address these challenges”, stated Minister Hoxha.
“We must show commitment and seriousness in the implementation of priorities, by promoting good governance and strengthening the rule of law, protecting competitiveness and improving the investment climate, and by upgrading employment and higher education policies”, outlined Minister Hoxha.
Inter-ministerial Council participants focused on the achievements that have been marked over the past two weeks, and highlighted the challenges they face.
