Prishtina, 24 August 2016 – Minister of European Integration, Mr. Bekim Çollaku, hosted today in a farewell meeting the European Union Special Representatives and Head of EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Samuel Zhbogar.
Minister Çollaku expressed his gratitude to Mr. Zhbogar for his tireless contribution and excellent work in Kosovo, particularly in advancing Kosovo’s European agenda.
Minister Çollaku emphasised that the cooperation and great work in the last few years has been crowned with extraordinary successes in European agenda by signing the Stabilisation and Association agreement and obtaining the recommendation for visa liberalisation. Although the former has entered into force and commenced implementation, the decision for lifting the visa is expected to be rendered by the end of the year, stated Minister Çollaku.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Çollaku wished a lot of success to Mr. Zbogar in his new mission and promised that the Ministry of European Integration will continue its close cooperation with the EU Office in Kosovo and EU institutions in Brussels.
