Minister thanked the non-resident Ambassador to Kosovo for the continued support that Sweden provided to Kosovo, especially in relation to the advancement of European Agenda.
Sweden has supported Kosovo through development projects in various sectors.
The Minister informed the Ambassador about Kosovo’s efforts to push forward the issue of Visas Liberalisation and signing of the SAA, which are two priorities for this year regarding the integration process.
“We welcomed the approval of the SAA by the European Commission and we expect soon to reach its signing. SAA is of great importance because it strengthens Kosovo-EU relations, and provides a clear perspective of membership”, stated Minister Çollaku.
In regards to visa liberalisation, the Minister emphasized that the Institutions of Kosovo are highly committed to fulfil the remaining criteria from the visa liberalisation roadmap in order to sooner submit the final report to the European Commission.
Whereas, Ambassador Staffansson expressed the readiness of Sweden to further support Kosovo on its path towards EU integration, by encouraging the institutions to continue with the needed reforms related to this process.
