As a continuation of the meetings which minister Çitaku will have with the Mayor`s of Kosovo municipalities, in order to advance coordination and cooperation between local and central level, in the meeting with Mr. Bahtiri, Minister Çitaku focused in the process of reintegrating the persons repatriated in the Municipality of Mitrovica, financing the second phase projects of the Instrument for pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) in the municipal level, and at the same time, they discussed on the possibilities of accommodating, in the municipal administration of Mitrovica, the scholarship holders form the “Young Cells Scheme” program. Topics which contribute to the European integration process, to Visa Liberalization, as well as bilateral cooperation between our institutions.
In the meeting with Mr. Bahtiri, Minister Çitaku stated that:”The process of negotiations for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Kosovo and European Union is at the foreseen pace. At the same time, it is being proved that Kosovo`s European agenda is the most consensual agenda in the country. All political stakeholders as well as the civil society are ready to consolidate their capacities and strengthen this process.”
On his part, the Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Agim Bahtiri thanked Minister Çitaku for her visit and expressed willingness to cooperate with the central level, in order to push forward all process regarding European Integration.
