During this meeting it was discussed about the issues of bilateral interest, such as irregular migration and integration of repatriated persons, possibilities and forms of advancing the successful integration of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in educational system in Kosovo
Minister Çitaku thanked the UNHCR for being a serious partner in the assistance they have provided so far in process of repatriation and creating better conditions for them, she also said that we should work even harder in integration of repatriated persons among the communities that live in Kosovo.
Minister Çitaku once again reiterated the commitment of the Government of Kosovo to create the best possible conditions for all the communities that live in Kosovo, as well as for the repatriated persons. She stated that we are working hard in order that the integration of repatriated persons and communities to be more effective and bring results to the entire society.
Within this commitment, many meetings, open discussions were organized with Government, donors and NGO representatives, which are active in the field of supporting the integration of repatriated persons and communities, which need additional support with an aim to assess the current state and take appropriate steps based on the identified findings, said Minister Çitaku.
On his behalf, the Director Mr. Vincent Cochetel, has expressed the further commitment and dedication of UNHCR to contribute in supporting the integration processes for the persons with special needs in Kosovo and beyond.
