On this occasion, Minister Çitaku welcomed the positive and proactive approach of Greece to advancing Kosovo with the European Agenda and its advancement in the international context. Minister Çitaku stated: “Regardless to the position of the Greek government to recognize the independence of Kosovo, Greece has been a supporter of Kosovo on its path towards integration in international instances, for which we are grateful to the people and to the government of Greece”.
Minister Çitaku also requested the intensification of cooperation between Prishtina and Athens in order to have greater rapprochement to our mutual interests, but also to contribute to the advancement of the region in general. Discussions were also focused on the dialogue process for normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, recent elections, the course of negotiations for Stabilisation and Association Agreement and the cooperation between Kosovo and Greece in areas of common interest.
From the Greek delegation, among others Mrs. Dourou stated: “Greece’s approach towards Kosovo is positive and will continue at this pace. Greece has been and will continue to contribute to a neighbourly harmony in the whole Balkan region.
