In Kosovo, every community with equal rights

This project is a comprehensive report covering the country and regional context for Kosovo and Bosnia – Herzegovina (BiH).

On this occasion, was discussed the situation of LGBT community in our country and the region, as well as the difficulties that exist in our societies to better include all communities.

During the meeting, Minister Çitaku said: “I want to use this opportunity, to once more express my deepest gratitude, to all local and international contributors to the advancement of human rights in Kosovo. It has been very difficult and challenging, but the results have not been lacking. The goal of every engagement of our institutions and civil society is to build a place where people live free, equal under the law and rules that we are developing in a democratic way”

Ms. Michels while explaining the project said: “the project is a comprehensive report covering the country and regional context for Kosovo and Bosnia – Herzegovina (BiH), the situation of LGBT communities in  BiH and  Kosovo; social and legislative framework of the rights based on sexual orientation and gender identity; needs and gaps on the current situation; and concrete recommendations for strategic interference and advocacy”.
