Pristina, 1 December 2017 – Upon the proposal from Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, Government of Kosovo, at its meeting held today, endorsed the Bilateral Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Kosovo for the participation of Kosovo in EU programme “;Europe for Citizens”;.
Both Agreements build on aspirations and commitments of the Republic of Kosovo to develop a partnership that will contribute to the integration of the Republic of Kosovo and same time to affirm European values in bilateral and regional cooperation, in further stabilizing the South Eastern Europe.
Minister Hoxha, highlighted that Kosovo, through these two agreements, meets another obligation deriving from the SAA, that of cooperation with other countries that signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement, respectively obligations under Article 17 of the SAA. The agreements also regulate the Kosovo’s financial contribution to the programme “;Europe for Citizens”;, and the “;Financial control, recovery and other anti-fraud measures”;.
Delegation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will continue negotiations with the respective countries in order to align mutual obligations envisaged under the Mutual Agreements, stated Minister Hoxha.
