Germany intensifies the support for the European integration process

Prishtina, 14 September 2017 – Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha in the light of the informational meetings, hosted in a meeting the Director of GiZ for Kosovo, Mr. James Macbeth Forbes.

At the meeting it was discussed about the projects that the German Government through GiZ has implemented in Kosovo, namely in supporting the European integration process. On this occasion, it was discussed about the implementation of on-going projects and it was confirmed that their effect is very evident in contributing to the implementation of the objectives. .

Minister Hoxha thanked Mr. Forbes about the on-going co-operation and the continuous support that GIZ has provided in supporting the European integration process. More specifically, strengthening of institutions through capacity building and administrative structures to advance as more as possible the implementation of key criteria. .

Mr. Forbes also praised the co-operation and efficiency which was proven by the Ministry of European Integration and line institutions in management and realization of the current projects with German GiZ. .

Minister Hoxha also underlined the importance of implementation of the third phase of the project Support for the European Integration Process in Kosovo – Phase III (2017 – 2020), which will be signed today, as this will be a driving force behind the priorities of the Government of Kosovo and development of the country.
