Minister Çitaku informed the delegation regarding the progress in the Feasibility Study identified areas for the opening of the negotiations for a Stabilisation and Association Agreement, as well for the agreement with the Republic of Serbia achieved on April 19, in Brussels.
Minister Çitaku among others stated: “We must work hard in order to
implement this historic agreement, because the agreement has opened a new chapter in the Balkans and hope to be a positive impact not only for Kosovo and Serbia, but for the entire region. At the same time, Kosovo will continue to be a strong voice of promotion and awareness of common European values.”
On behalf of the delegation, Senator Gelard congratulated Minister Çitaku for reaching an agreement with Serbia and for achievements of Kosovo in general, by stressing that: “France rejoice in reaching agreement between Kosovo and Serbia and is ready to further assist in the implementation of this agreement, not only this but France continues to support Kosovo on its long path but safe towards EU. Constructive role of Kosovo is to be welcomed and Kosovo should continue to serve as a positive example that is” concluded Senator Gelard.
