Donor coordination in the field of agriculture, forestry and rural development was discussed

The purpose of this meeting was the presentation of future plans of MAFRD and FVA (Food and Veterinary Agency) as well as projects that require funding by donors.  Also it was introduced the agriculture census test, a process that is being developed in collaboration with KAS.  Moreover it was discussed about the implementation status of ARDP (Agriculture and Rural Development Plan).

Donors presented their new activities, respectively projects that will begin in 2013 and pledged to continue their support in close collaboration with institutions.

In the meeting it was also discussed about the strengths and weaknesses that have occurred so far in the sectorial and sub sectorial working groups. In this regard, donors urged to continue with the regular meetings of the sectorial and sub-sectorial working groups. Meanwhile, MAFRD and MEI ensured all the donors that the mechanism for donor coordination will be respected by all and all the encountered weaknesses will be improved.

From 19 November, the second round of  meetings of sectorial working groups  for 2012 has begun, where these meetings intend to inform the donor community for developments which have occurred in each sector during 2012 as well as the disclosure of priorities that require donor support, for 2013 onwards.
